IE Speed-Up Tip

I found this on http://wtfiml33t.com . It, um...totally works!!!
Speed up Internet Explorer
by Clarence

This is a quick tip I picked up while browsing forums around the internet instead of studying. You'll find that you can increase the bandwidth Internet Explorer uses by applying the following registry tweak:

1. Open regedit and Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/InternetSettings

2. Right click on left pane and add new DWORD value MaxConnectionsPerServer and make the value 8 decimal

3. Right click on left pane and add new DWORD value MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server and make the value 6 decimal.

Now you can start IE and it should load pages more quickly!
One of the big beefs I have with IE is the speed to load shit. I actually set my homepage to about:blank to get it to load quicker.

I suppose now is the time to warn everyone to NOT FUCK with REGEDIT unless you know what you're doing. Bad things can happen.

Happy browsing and big up to:

Re:

Where the HELL IS YOUR NAME?

My picks for week 15:

Mutha fuckin RAIDAHS!
Forget the rest.

/football dork mode.

It's been my experience that those communites [with [info]mlb being an exception, that those communities are pretty much DEAD. No one comes with an objective opinion...I mean EVER.

There are 3 pretty good games, tomorrow, if you get the chance to take it in. Pats/Fins, Neeners/Eagles, Raidahs/Does it really matter? [otherwise known as the Titans]

Re:

Ha ha ha. Does it really matter? That made me howl.

Neeners/Whiners/any name making fun of those f*cks are the best jokes in town.

I can't keep up with what's on my plate now, as you know, that's why you don't see my name over yonder. But it looks like it's active. Go in there & represent!

Re:

for.you.i.will.

fsck the rest.

done

I've had to do a few things in regedit before, so it's not unfamiliar to me at least as far as navigating through it. No worries there.

But, as far as you know, this isn't causing you any sort of trouble, right? I may do it if I can be pretty certain it's danger-free.

Re:

Nope...not a one. 'course, it's only been a total of 13 hours since I've done it.

Hmmmm
